Yannis Fafoutakis, born 1986 and raised in Athens, initially began his studies as an engineer but soon switched his focus to photography.. After completing studies in photography and new media at, Focus School of Art, he ventured into a career as a Portrait and Documentary Photographer. In 2016, he graduated from Metropolitan College with a degree in filmmaking.

Following his graduation, yannis  worked as a focus puller and camera operator in feature films. In addition to his work in filmmaking, he has also been involved in various other creative projects, including lensing numerous commercial spots, short films, fashion films, documentaries, as a director of photography and serving as a Light Designer for theatrical plays.
